Terms of Service

Plain-language terms for using Arcadia. Last updated October 2026.

1. What you're getting

Arcadia is a desktop application, licensed per location, that you install and run on a computer you own or control. Purchasing a license gives you the right to run Arcadia at one location for as long as your plan is active — it does not transfer ownership of the software itself.

2. License keys

Each license key is tied to a single location. Keys stay valid for the length of the plan you purchased (monthly, seasonal, or annual) and unlock the app when entered on the first screen or in Settings. Sharing a key outside your own business, or using one key across multiple unrelated locations, is outside the scope of what you've purchased.

Free trial

You can try Arcadia free for 14 days with every feature, no payment and no card. When the trial ends, Arcadia asks for a license key to keep going. Everything you entered during the trial stays on your computer and is right where you left it once you add a key.

3. Billing

Payment is handled by Stripe. Monthly and Annual plans renew automatically (every month or every year) until canceled. The Summer Pass is billed monthly for six payments during your season, then billing stops; access continues for the rest of the year. You can cancel a recurring plan at any time — access continues through the period you've already paid for.

4. Refunds

If Arcadia isn't working out for your shop, reach out within 7 days of your first payment and we'll work out a refund. After that window, refunds are handled case by case — email us and we'll be straight with you about what we can do.

5. Your data

Arcadia stores everything — parts, machines, manuals, history — locally on the computer it's installed on. We don't have access to it, can't see it, and aren't able to recover it if it's lost; back up the data folder the way you'd back up any other files on that machine. See the Privacy Policy for more.

6. Updates

Updates within the same major version (v1.x) are included free with an active license and delivered as a new installer (or a new portable file) — your data folder is untouched. Arcadia checks for updates when it has an internet connection and tells you right in the app; it never installs anything automatically.

7. No warranty

Arcadia is provided as-is. We work hard to keep it reliable and fix real problems quickly, but we can't guarantee it will be error-free or available every moment, and we're not liable for losses — like inventory mistakes or downtime — that come from using or being unable to use the app. Nothing here limits rights that can't be limited by agreement in your jurisdiction.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Arcadia grows. Meaningful changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date; continuing to use Arcadia after a change means you accept the update.
